A New Era Begins: Skoda Elroq’s Electrifying Debut
Skoda is charging into the electric future with the Elroq, its first fully electric compact SUV, designed to blend European sophistication with cutting-edge EV technology. Unveiled globally in late 2024, the Elroq is expected to hit Indian roads by December 15, 2025, with a price tag ranging between ₹25–35 lakh (ex-showroom).
Built on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform, the Elroq boasts a sleek, aerodynamic silhouette and introduces Skoda’s new “Modern Solid” design language. Gone is the traditional grille, in its place is a bold black panel flanked by segmented LED DRLs and a muscular stance that screams confidence.
Inside, the Elroq is a masterclass in sustainable luxury. From recycled PET bottle upholstery to fishing net-sourced nylon, the cabin is both eco-conscious and premium. A 13-inch infotainment display, augmented reality heads-up display, and Level 2 ADAS features make it a tech-lover’s dream.
Performance, Range & Features: Built for the Bold
The Elroq will be offered in multiple battery configurations, with the top variant delivering a range of over 560 km on a single charge. The base model is expected to offer around 370 km, making it ideal for both city commutes and weekend getaways.
Under the hood, the Elroq delivers 167.67 bhp and 310 Nm of torque, paired with an automatic transmission. It supports fast charging, allowing 10 – 80% top-up in under 30 minutes. Other standout features include:
- Dual digital displays
- 360-degree camera
- Connected car tech
- Powered front seats
- Full LED lighting package
- 470-litre boot space
