RSF Strikes Civilians, Igniting Global Outrage
Recent reports confirm that the RSF bombed the Abu Shouk displacement camp in Darfur, killing 14 people, including an entire family. The strike is part of ongoing ethnic violence, with Darfur witnessing some of the deadliest conflicts. Sudan’s transitional government has condemned the RSF, calling for urgent global action.
Meanwhile, airstrikes by Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) have targeted RSF positions in Khartoum and Darfur, aiming to disrupt paramilitary strongholds. Yet, despite military efforts, the RSF continues to gain ground, exacerbating instability across Sudan.
Sudan Faces Famine as Aid Supplies Collapse
The conflict has left millions on the brink of starvation. With supply chains destroyed and access to humanitarian aid blocked, more than 13 million people face extreme food shortages. The United Nations has warned of an impending famine, urging neighboring nations to provide emergency relief.
International relief agencies, including Doctors Without Borders (MSF) and the World Food Program (WFP), are struggling to reach affected areas due to security concerns.
Global Powers Urged to Act
The United Nations, African Union, and international allies are pressuring the warring factions to resume peace talks. However, Russia and UAE’s alleged involvement in supplying arms to RSF has complicated diplomatic efforts.
As Sudan plunges deeper into crisis, the coming weeks will be crucial in determining whether global intervention can ease humanitarian suffering.
