On her birthday, they invited her to Deep’s flat for a meal and celebration. But once inside, the tone changed. When she tried to leave, the men allegedly locked the door, assaulted her, and gang-raped her. She managed to escape the next morning around 10:30 AM and informed her family, who immediately took her to the Haridevpur Police Station to file an FIR.
Police Investigation and Manhunt Underway
Following the complaint, the Kolkata Police launched a full-scale manhunt to locate the accused, who are currently absconding. The FIR has been registered under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including charges of abduction, sexual assault and unlawful confinement.
