AP Constable Exposed as Drug Racket Kingpin, Police Crack Down on Network

In a shocking revelation, an Andhra Pradesh (AP) police constable has been identified as the mastermind behind an inter-state drug racket. The accused, Gunashekar, a serving Armed Reserve (AR) constable, was allegedly involved in trafficking cocaine mixed with ephedrine, a highly addictive substance.

The Cyberabad Police busted the racket in Hyderabad, arresting five individuals linked to the operation. However, Gunashekar remains absconding, with authorities intensifying efforts to track him down.

Authorities arrested Unnam Surendra alias Suri, Dothireddy Haribabu Reddy, Chegudi Mercy Margaret, Shaik Masthan Vali, and Devaraju Yesu Babu, all natives of Andhra Pradesh. Another accused, Appanna, a known drug peddler from Bangalore, is also on the run.

According to police reports, Gunashekar had proposed the sale of ephedrine to make quick profits. Surendra, attracted by the idea, conspired with his associates to distribute the drug in Hyderabad, where demand was high.

The accused had carefully planned their operations, ensuring minimal exposure. Surendra collected 820 grams of the drug from Gunashekar in Tirupati and traveled to Hyderabad via Guntur. The group assembled at Jaya Nagar, Kukatpally, intending to distribute the contraband.

However, their suspicious movements caught the attention of Cyberabad Special Operation Teams (SOT), leading to their arrest. Police seized a digital weighing machine and five mobile phones, which were used to coordinate the drug deals.
