In retaliation, Sangita reportedly clubbed him to death using the leg of a broken cradle, an act witnessed by their nine-year-old son.
The child, traumatized and confused, ran to neighbours for help, who then alerted the authorities. By the time police arrived, Sangita had taken her own life, leaving behind a suicide note that cited long-standing marital discord and emotional distress.
