Vizag’s RK Beach: The Epicenter of a Wellness Revolution
Yoga Sangam 2025 – The choice of RK Beach in Visakhapatnam as the central venue is both symbolic and strategic. Stretching across 28 kilometers of coastline, the venue will host a Guinness World Record attempt for the largest open-air yoga gathering. The event, dubbed ‘Yogandhra’, will feature over 300 designated compartments, each accommodating 1,000 participants, guided by trained instructors and supported by medical teams, CCTV surveillance, and logistical coordination on an unprecedented scale.

Joining PM Modi will be Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister of State for Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav, reinforcing the event’s national significance. The session will follow the CYP’s 45-minute sequence, including foundational asanas like Tadasana, Bhujangasana, and Savasana, culminating in Pranayama and Dhyana, a journey from movement to mindfulness.
The event is also a showcase of India’s soft power. Yoga ambassadors from institutions like Art of Living, ISHA Foundation, Patanjali Yogpeeth, and the Indian Navy will participate, alongside 1,400 trained students from Andhra University, including 200 international students. It’s a celebration of India’s ancient wisdom, modern organization, and global outreach.
From Villages to the World: A Grassroots Movement with Global Impact
What sets Yoga Sangam 2025 apart is its grassroots mobilization. Inspired by a personal letter from PM Modi, Gram Pradhans across India have rallied their communities to participate. From schoolyards and anganwadis to temple courtyards and public parks, yoga mats will roll out in every corner of the country.
The Ministry of Ayush has launched ten signature events to amplify the message, including Yoga Bandhan (international exchange), Harit Yoga (environmental conservation), and Yoga Unplugged (youth engagement). These initiatives ensure that yoga is not just a one-day affair but a lifestyle transformation rooted in inclusivity, accessibility, and sustainability.
With over 4 lakh registrations already recorded on the Yoga Sangam portal, the momentum is undeniable. Participants will receive digital certificates, and organizers will be recognized for their contributions, reinforcing a culture of appreciation and accountability.
Conclusion: Yoga Sangam 2025
Yoga Sangam 2025 is more than a mass event, it’s a cultural renaissance, a wellness revolution, and a global message of unity. As India leads the world in embracing yoga’s timeless wisdom, June 21 will stand as a testament to the power of breath, balance, and collective intention. In a world seeking healing, India offers a path—rooted in tradition, guided by leadership, and open to all.
