A Festival of Threads and Thanks

The celebration began at 10 a.m. and continued until 1:30 p.m., with thousands of girls lining up to tie rakhis on Khan Sir’s wrist. Known for his affordable and accessible teaching style, Khan Sir has long been regarded as a mentor and protector by his students- many of whom travelled from different states to be part of the occasion.

“It is my good fortune that my students tie rakhi. We have to protect our rich culture. Raksha Bandhan is a festival for brother and sister. And this thread denotes the bond and affection,” Khan Sir said during the event.

Interestingly, Khan Sir has no biological sisters, yet he has embraced his students as family. Over the years, this tradition has grown from a small classroom gesture to a full-scale celebration, with this year’s turnout breaking all previous records.

Humor Amid the Humility

As the rakhis piled up, Khan Sir’s arms were visibly overwhelmed. At one point, he joked on the mic:

“Khoon ruk gaya hai, doctor ko bulao!” (“The blood has stopped flowing, call the doctor!”)

He later added with a laugh:

“Raksha Bandhan ki dher saari shubhkaamnayein. Rakhi toh aaj 15,000 se zyada ho gaya hai. Uth bhi nahi paa raha hai haath mera.”
(“Happy Raksha Bandhan. It’s over 15,000 rakhis now. I can’t even lift my hand.”)

The crowd erupted in laughter and applause, with many calling him “Super Bhai” and “Champion of Brotherhood” on social media.

To make the occasion even more special, Khan Sir arranged 156 varieties of food for the attendees. From sweets to snacks, the spread reflected his gratitude and affection for the students who consider him more than just a teacher.

Girls who attended the event praised Khan Sir not only for his teaching but for his emotional support and generosity. Some even mentioned receiving course discounts as Raksha Bandhan gifts, calling it a thoughtful gesture that reflects his commitment to education and empowerment.

Viral Moments and Public Reaction

Photos and videos from the event flooded social media, showing Khan Sir’s arms covered in colorful rakhis and students cheering from the audience. The hashtag #SuperBhai trended on X (formerly Twitter), with users sharing memes, tributes, and heartfelt messages.

“Bhaichare ki misaal hai,” one user wrote. (“He’s the epitome of brotherhood.”)
“Promotion de do, ab ‘Super Bhai’ hona chahiye,” joked another. (“Give him a promotion – he should be called Super Brother now.”)

The event also sparked conversations about the evolving role of educators in society, not just as instructors, but as emotional anchors and cultural icons.
